Joey Fatone 'splits' from high school sweetheart and wife of eight years Kelly Baldwin

She was by his side throughout his highs and lows of his fame, but it seems Joey Fatone's long romance with Kelly Baldwin is over.

It appears the couple fell out of sync some time ago with Star Magazine reporting the couple have been living apart since February.

The pair - who have been together since high school and throughout the band's massive success in the late 1990s - have two children together, Briahna, 12, and Kloey, 3.

A source told the magazine that the couple have been trying to keep their problems quiet for the sake of daughters.

The insider said: 'They pretend Joey is traveling for work, but really he just stays with friends.'

Star reports Kelly, who married Joey in 2004 after 10 years of dating, has moved on and is dating someone new.

When approached by the magazine she 'did not deny the news', Star said.

When asked about the split Kelly said, 'I really don’t want to talk about this.'

The news comes as Joey is on a high after reuniting with the other members of 'N Sync - Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass - at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

The singers performed together for the first time in a decade as part of a 15 minute set by Justin, who was receiving the Video Vanguard Award.

Joey has long been plagued by rumours of infidelity.

In 2007 rumours swirled that 36-year-old singer was seeing his Dancing With The Stars partner Kym Johnson after one of his daughters reportedly asked if, 'Is Kym going to be my stepmum?'.

Star reports just last year following the All Stars edition of the show, Joey was 'acting like a bachelor'.

'[Joey] flirted with women as if he was a single guy and he never wore his wedding ring,' a guest at the season wrap party at Mixology 101 told Star.

'When everyone wanted to go home at the end of the night, he desperately tried to keep the party going.'
